Carpet Cleaning Services

1

I will move larger furnishings such as chairs and tables but for insurance reasons I ask all customers to move smaller, valuable items such as ornaments before I arrive.

2

Then I vacuum your carpets using a powerful Sebo commercial vacuum cleaner with a high filtration, cleaning system. You will be amazed at the results achieved just by a thorough vacuum through with a Sebo, in my opinion it beats a Dyson any day!

3

Depending on the carpet type any spots or stains will be dealt with at this point or after extraction. The nature of the stain and fibre must first be determined before removal of the offending stain maybe attended.

4

Pre-Spray

Next your carpet will be pre-sprayed which will help break up any dirt still present in your carpet.

5

Agitation

Next the Pre-Spray will be agitated into the carpet using a specially designed machine with contra rotating brushes; this is an often overlooked but vital part of the cleaning process. In order for the cleaning agent to work on the fibres efficiently it must penetrate each fibre and the best way to do this is with mechanical agitation.

6

Hot water extraction

The machine I use for this is an Ashby Ninja, a very powerful machine that is capable of reaching temperatures up to 110c. For steam boosted carpet cleaning, it applies a fine jet of hot solution under high pressure directly into the carpet. It is then immediately extracted using powerful vacuum pumps, this is done almost simultaneously therefore not allowing the base of the carpet to become sodden.

7

Drying

A powerful air mover is placed in the room after cleaning, this can speed the drying time of carpets and upholstery by up to 70%.

8

Where appropriate, the carpet will be groomed using a carpet rake.

9

Next, furniture is replaced back onto the carpet on either Styrofoam blocks or foil tabs. The reason for this is that sometimes, moisture left in the carpet will leach out any colour stain in the furniture, transferring it to the carpet.
